Consulting & Implementation
Typical challenges we help organisations avoid
- Business requirements are defined without sufficient platform knowledge, resulting in a solution that cannot be implemented effectively.
- Technical implementation is delivered without a solid understanding of finance and controlling processes, leading to a technically correct but fundamentally flawed solution.
- Go-live takes place without adequate user training, resulting in low adoption and limited business value.
- No structured transition into ongoing operations and support after go-live.
Our Project Approach
Business-led.
Technically sound.
bdg project teams combine business consultants with deep expertise in finance, controlling and EPM processes, alongside technology consultants with extensive implementation experience across Jedox, Board and SAP platforms. Both disciplines work together from day one. Business requirements are validated against technical feasibility before development begins, ensuring solutions are both practical and deliverable.

01 Discovery
Requirements Analysis
A structured assessment of planning and reporting requirements, source system analysis, scope definition and effort estimation. The outcome is a detailed solution design document that serves as the foundation for both the proposal and subsequent implementation.
02 Design
Data Model & Planning Logic
Driver trees, dimensional structures, planning logic, reporting frameworks and security concepts are documented in detail and formally approved before configuration begins.
03 Build
Implementation & Integration
Technical implementation on Jedox, Board or SAP platforms, including: ETL processes, Data modelling, Business rules, Reporting, Workflow configuration. Integrations with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Schleupen, HR systems and other source systems are delivered using proven connector frameworks and implementation methodologies.
04 Test & Rollout
User Acceptance Testing, Training & Go-live
A structured user acceptance testing process is conducted with business stakeholders, complemented by role-based training, go-live support and a dedicated hypercare phase. The transition into ongoing operations is planned from the outset rather than treated as an afterthought.
Accelerate Delivery
Start with
bdg One
Many projects begin with bdg ONE, a suite of preconfigured modules for Finance, People, Energy, ESG and Retail planning. Using bdg ONE significantly reduces design and implementation effort. Rather than starting from scratch, organisations benefit from proven best practices developed across hundreds of projects and tailored to their specific requirements.
Frequently Asked Questions

How are bdg projects priced: fixed fee or daily rates?
Both options are available. For clearly defined projects with detailed specifications, bdg can provide fixed-price proposals. These are typically based on a minimum commitment of 25% of the estimated delivery effort. For projects with an evolving scope or exploratory phase, services are generally billed on a daily-rate basis. Variances of up to 1.6 times the estimated effort may be invoiced without separate authorisation, provided this has been transparently communicated in the proposal. Daily rates are adjusted annually in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
What does a typical bdg project team look like
The composition depends on project scope and complexity. Smaller implementations, such as bdg ONE Finance for an organisation with approximately 100 to 300 employees, are often delivered by a Senior Consultant supported by a Junior Consultant. Mid-sized projects typically include a Project Manager, one or two Senior Consultants and a Junior Consultant. Large and complex programmes involving multiple legal entities, several planning modules or full SAP integration are generally led by a Senior Manager or Manager. bdg operates across Germany, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, enabling project teams to be staffed with the appropriate local expertise for international engagements.
