The conventional Excel-based financial planning process at ENNI, as at many other companies, was not only associated with a high manual effort but also with a high level of error and system susceptibility. A low level of digitisation as well as data transparency were very low. It was therefore necessary to digitise controlling and create an integrated solution for corporate management. This was intended to significantly reduce the time required for planning, data consolidation and interpretation of the extrapolation and economic plan results. Furthermore, the quality of planning, reporting and analysis was to be significantly improved.
